Enrich your life with computing technologies!

Technology has proliferated around our homes, and the personal computer has become as essential as the telephone in our daily lives.  Computers, though, come with their own complex universe of equipment challenges, software issues and difficult-to-learn interfaces.

Gaining the confidence to master straightforward tasks in this environment is where WHIZKIDS can help.  In our classes, we focus on the day-to-day benefits of computer use, such as creating documents, developing spreadsheets and routine Internet research.  We introduce simple tools to help organize work and protect information.  Children learn how a computer can help or entertain them, within Parent or Teacher-directed boundaries. Parents and Teachers can leverage the classes to enrich and extend the learning environments available to a child.

Emphasis is put on protecting the computer from misuse, correcting basic problems, maintaining personal and family privacy, and ensuring secure, age-appropriate access to the Internet.

    Welcome!

    Kelly McLaughlan and Joan Fernandez
